July 11, 1993 Hi! This font is FranzKafka, formerly FKafka. The reason I am re-posting it is because I realized that the baseline position of all the characters is incorrect; thus dropcaps won't work properly. FranzKafka, this font, corrects that problem. Also, I have tweaked it some more, fixed a few style problems, etc. This was in response to various people writing me telling me the mac version had problems. I went back to the source files, and realized that there were errors. This and its companion mac version are the fixes. FranzKafka, if you don't have it already, is described by me and a few other people as "bloody scratch". Imagine what someone might scrawl into a wall with his or her dying hand. Thus, FranzKafka. If you don't like that description, then imagine letters cut out of linoleum blocks. All of this was inspired by reading _The_Trial_, and thus is so named. This font is being distributed as postcardware. If you use it (hey, even if you *don't* use it!), then send me a postcard from wherever you are. For the first version, I actually got a postcard from Prauge! Donations of money and equipment are *always* accepted, but the chances of that happening seem to occur only in my dreams. Please send all comments, postcards, certified checks, hardware, shiny new cars, etc. to: Ron Olson 270 6th Avenue #12 New York City, NY 10014 Thank you very much for using FranzKafka.
